Primary Duties

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Data Management • Master user of the Enterprise Management System (Axiom) used in Accounting and Finance. The position will be an integral part of the system’s implementation and ongoing utilization. o Database management o Data stewardship o Data mapping o Data analysis o Custom data/report formation using SQL and/or Visual Basics. Interest Rate Risk Management • Administer the Asset Liability Management Model. This includes documenting, setting and maintaining assumptions used for interest rate analysis. o Reinvestment rates o Beta factors o Amortization schedules o Prepayment speeds o Rate forecast o Decay rates o Sensitivity test scenarios • Document findings for each interest rate shock scenario. • Prepare IRR reporting for Management, Asset and Liability Committee and Board. • Collecting historical information to support back testing analysis of model projections versus actual. • Reconciling source data files and ALM model outputs. Liquidity Management • Calculating, analyzing, and creating weekly and monthly liquidity metrics. • Working across multiple departments, ensuring a clear understanding of the Bank’s liquidity position and to support liquidity projections. • Continuous Improvement - Reviewing, developing, and continually strengthening the analysis and forecasting of the liquidity position and liquidity adequacy of the Bank. • Actively involved in the governance processes surrounding liquidity management and preparation of the quarterly liquidity stress test. • Regularly participating in meetings with Senior Management. Forecasting • Administer the budgeting system. This includes documenting, setting and maintaining forecast assumptions. o Reinvestment rates o Beta factors o Amortization schedules o Prepayment speeds o Rate forecast o Decay rates • Prepare and maintain 5-year projections for Affiliated Bank and BancAffiliated Inc. by partnering with multiple departments within the bank and holding company. • Ensuring that the forecasting models are consistent with its board-approved ALM, Liquidity and Correspondent Bank policies and risk appetite. • Create and maintain support for the creation of the overall forecast and the reporting presentation to the Leadership Team. • The ongoing monitoring and reporting of financial performance and assisting in the development of actionable recommendations to address identified business challenges and opportunities (actual vs. forecast). • Report and track bank, department and individual KPIs on a monthly basis. Other • Maintain and document the Asset Liability Management Policy, Liquidity Policy and Correspondent Bank Risk Policy. • Assess current business processes and provide recommendations for new methods to enhance analytics. • Work on projects as assigned and directed by the CFO. • Ensuring compliance with the Bank’s established guidelines, policies, and procedures. • Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Affiliated Bank. • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Maintains the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records. • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable. • Demonstrates a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated and dependable behavior. Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will have responsibilities within the Finance area of the bank to include data management, asset liability management and budgeting.

Position Salary

$70 - $80k annual

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analysis, Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred. • At least 5 years prior experience in financial analyst, query and reporting role, preferably in a financial institution. • Proven technical expertise working with data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. • Working knowledge of SQL and SQL query writing skills experience. • Understanding of data warehouse concepts and experience preferred. • Experience working in asset/liability management, liquidity risk management, budgeting and forecasting is preferred. • Experience creating KPIs and dashboards to provide better visibility into operating performance, while identifying areas for process enhancement. • Experience with Kaufman/Hall- Axiom is not required, but preferred.
