Primary Duties

Maintain and reconcile G/L accounts. Prepare and record journal entries. Reconcile bank statements (multiple accounts). Prepare deposits and record cash receipts. Monitor cash flow. Prepare work in progress schedules, financial statements, sales/use and TERP tax returns and other reports. Calculate depreciation. Prepare and update depreciation schedules for purchases and dispositions. Track notes for asset purchases and prepare amortization schedules. Work closely with management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and job cost functions. Prepare schedules and work papers for the outside CPA pursuant to the annual review process. Perform other duties as required.

Position Salary

Commensurate with experience.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA helpful) or Bachelor's degree in another field and CPA certification. Six plus years experience as a Controller, preferably in the construction industry. Tax and audit experience helpful. Knowledge and experience in job cost, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. PC literate with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and accounting software (Sage Timberline preferred). High attention to detail. Ability to handle stress of multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong time management, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
