Fall UTA Program

CPA: Three letters you can’t do without in accounting

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

4:00 pm—6:00 pm, Rio Grande Ballroom, E.H. Hereford University Center at the University of Texas at Arlington

The Fort Worth Chapter, TSCPA invites UTA and Texas Wesleyan University accounting students to attend a seminar to learn more about your career options with a CPA designation.  CPAs from around Tarrant County will tell you why they think the CPA is worth it and what it can mean for you. Market demand for individuals who are CPAs is at an all time high, and these three letters are commanding as much as 15% higher salaries than non-credentialed accountants.

Students will leave the seminar with an understanding of how they can attain long term professional success by completing the master’s program and obtaining a CPA license.

  • Dialogue with local CPAs
  • Hear about the variety of career options in the field of accounting
  • Panelists’ roles include recruiting, industry (controller), small to mid size to national public firm management
  • Learn about the importance of the CPA credential

What is the Fort Worth Chapter, TSCPA?
