Ethics Courses

The Fort Worth Chapter offers a four-hour classroom ethics course monthly. All ethics courses meet the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy requirement for a four-hour ethics continuing professional education (CPE) course. We have registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor. This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the Board as to the quality of our CPE program.  Instructor sketches follow course registration options, below.

Matthew J. Herring, CPA

ABCs in Ethics

Matt Herring is a CPA from the great state of Texas with over 25 years of experience in the accounting profession. Mr. Herring worked for several Fortune 500 corporations in the Dallas- Ft. Worth area, owned his own CPA practice, and worked for a local CPA firm. His public & corporate industry experience spans the areas of Audit, Financial Reporting, Accounting Controls, General Ledger, and Federal & State taxes. Mr. Herring joined the Internal Revenue Service in 2005 and has been a member of the instructor cadre.

Ethics: A CPA's Guidebook for Ethical Behavior

Allison is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. She holds a BBA and a JD from Baylor University and a Master of Legal Letters (LLM) from the Southern Methodist University School of Law. Prior to joining the UNT faculty, Professor McLeod was a Director of Tax Planning and IRS Audits for Lehigh Hanson North America. She specialized in Tax Planning with the JCPenney Corporation, Inc. and was with Deloitte & Touche in Dallas.
